For Immediate Release – Fifteen Ovation Travel Group leaders and advisors are among the select group of US-based “travel buyers” (i.e. travel advisors) accepting one of luxury travel’s most coveted invitations by attending the 2019 International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM), it was announced today. Ovation is one of the largest independently owned travel management and luxury leisure travel companies headquartered in the United States. Gina Gabbard, Ovation’s Senior Vice President of Leisure & Independent Advisors will lead the delegation comprised of advisors from both the United States and the United Kingdom. ILTM Cannes convenes at Cannes’ Palais des Festivals et des Congrès this December 2-5.

“In Ovation’s continuing quest to provide the most extraordinary experiences to our discerning leisure clientele, it is imperative that our exceptional advisors remain way ahead of the curve in knowing all of the breakthroughs and innovations in the luxury travel space,” noted Paul Metselaar, CEO and Chairman of Ovation Travel Group. “That is why we actively seek out vital opportunities to participate in globally-recognized events like ILTM. More than simply discovering the next ‘big thing’ in luxury travel, our advisors attend ILTM to further solidify existing relationships with key suppliers, while forging new ones. The biggest beneficiaries are our clients, who have the peace-of-mind in knowing that we are ‘your trusted travel partner.’”

ILTM in Cannes bills itself as “the ultimate global meeting in the annual luxury travel calendar.” Each member of Ovation’s ILTM contingent received an invitation to attend the event. Prior to receiving their invitations, advisors had to first meet stringent requirements ensuring their bona fides in serving affluent leisure clients.

“Ovation is very proud to once again have a substantial presence at ILTM Cannes as we bring along some of our leading luxury leisure advisors,” Gabbard stated. “Each representative from Ovation has established a significant book of business serving affluent clients and maintains strong relationships with some of the world’s foremost luxury suppliers. ILTM Cannes always inspires us to be better.”

In addition to Gabbard and Tina Rose, Managing Director of Ovation Travel Group in the United Kingdom, Ovation Travel Group’s delegation represents a mix of individuals who are veterans of ILTM and those who are attending for the first time:

“ILTM Cannes holds a permanent place in my calendar every December, as it’s one of my most favorite shows of the year,” declared Judy Stein, President of The Stein Collective, an affiliate of Ovation Travel Group. “The social and educational components at ILTM are both paramount, which is a perfect combination. Here I am able to spend quality time with so many friends and key players in the travel industry worldwide, yet at the same time, I always leave Cannes with a wealth of new knowledge gained throughout the week, forging great new relationships along the way. I would say it’s a ‘win/win’ on every level!’”

“This is my third time at ILTM Cannes and I always look forward to the camaraderie and quality of the attendees,” explained Laurie Robinson, Luxury Travel Advisor, Ovation Travel Group. “Top tier luxury products, the best of the best for new product introduction and updates on old favorites assist me in scoping out the luxury market for my clients. I very much look to this show for new destinations and technologies. It is a wonderful show to really network in person, as well as to catch up, meet and connect with the people that you will have at your fingertips for that extra special luxury trip or client.”

“Since this will be my first time attending ILTM Cannes. I’m looking forward to learning about new luxury properties and discovering lesser known boutique hotels,” stated Jessica Levy, Luxury Travel Consultant, Ovation Travel Group.

“Attending this show provides the opportunity to find more destinations and experiences to share with my clients. The show gives plenty of exposure to destinations that are off the beaten path and less known to Americans. In addition to this, I will be meeting with hoteliers and destination management companies that I book frequently for clients, thus building and strengthening our existing relationships.”

“I personally think the most important thing about this business is networking – being able to put a face to a name is super helpful when speaking to a vendor or supplier over email. When you need to clear space at a hotel or need a special favor for a client and you know the director of sales or general manager, it will get you further,” asserted first-time attendee Marielle Rishty, Senior Luxury Travel Advisor for Ovation Travel Group. “Putting your name and face out there and making yourself known to people in the industry can only help you grow your business, and attending ILTM will put my name on people’s radar. Being there shows my status as an advisor and the company I represent.”

“ILTM provides a great opportunity to meet everyone in a short window under one roof, which really helps make it easy,” said Andrew Steinberg, Luxury Travel Concierge, Modern Travel Inc., an affiliate of Ovation Travel Group. “I am looking forward to ILTM to meet new suppliers and learn more. I am hoping to uncover that great tour operator or meet the owner of that small bespoke hotel that is not yet on the radar. To better represent my clients so they have the best experience possible, attending ILTM is about finding the best of the best for them by forging relationships with new partners while strengthening my current relationships with existing partners.”
