For Immediate Release - Ovation Travel Group is once again sponsoring the Relaxation Lounge, which includes complimentary massages and a charging station for attendees, at the annual Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) convention. GBTA Convention 2019 will be held at McCormick Place in Chicago. Ovation will also be participating in the event’s annual GBTA Broadcast Studio, a series of video interviews with travel industry leaders which will be featured on screens throughout the McCormick Place convention center and in GBTA’s On Demand videos available through the Convention app and visible to nearly 7,000 attendees and registered media. The world’s largest business travel event, the annual GBTA Convention brings together thousands of business travel managers and industry suppliers to share insights, introduce products and review current trends.
Located on the Grand Concourse on the 2nd floor, the Relaxation Lounge sponsored by Ovation gives GBTA attendees a place to unwind and enjoy a massage while charging their mobile devices at the power bar. At the Relaxation Lounge, Ovation will also be giving away two domestic roundtrip airline tickets.
The Relaxation Lounge sponsored by Ovation will be open the following hours:
- Sunday, August 4 from 9:00am to 4:00pm
- Monday, August 5 from 8:00am to 1:00pm
- Tuesday, August 6 from 9:00am to 1:00pm
- Wednesday, August 7 from 9:00am to 1:30pm
While at the event, Ovation’s Executive Vice President, Michael Steiner, will be featured in the GBTA Broadcast Studio one-on-one interview series.
“We look forward to supporting and participating in the GBTA convention again this year,” said Mr. Steiner. “This year’s theme, “Evolve”, highlights how the role of the Travel Manager is changing in order to keep up with the industry pace. Travel managers are taking on many new roles and responsibilities including duty of care, procurement, meetings & events management and more. The emergence of new technologies and ongoing security risks are driving travel managers to broaden their skill sets to more effectively support their travelers. Like the Travel Manager, Travel Management Companies are also evolving to keep up with industry evolution while finding the right balance between personalization and automation to maintain time-honored service deliverables.”
